Maine tribes won't get to ask voters about a casino after a proposed referendum was killed by state lawmakers.
The Passamaquoddy Tribe (Pleasant Point | Indian Township) wanted voters to authorize a tribal casino in Washington County. But lawmakers in the House and the Senate voted it down.
That leaves just one proposal on the ballot. Black Bear
Entertainment wants to authorize a casino in Oxford County.
