Seminole Tribe close to deal for Class III gaming compact

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is reportedly close to a deal for a new Class III gaming compact.

The tribe will reportedly share $150 million a year for five years in exchange for exclusivity for slot machines. The tribe will also be able to operate table games at four of its casinos.

The tribe's payments would be lowered if lawmakers legalized slot machines and table games at non-Indian gaming facilities.

A sticking point is whether non-Indian gaming facilities would ever get Class II electronic games. The tribe has reportedly rejected the idea.
