The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan has paid off a $5 million gaming loan.
The tribe's FireKeepers Development Authority made the last payment to Gaming Entertainment Michigan (GEM) for costs related to the FireKeepers Casino. The facility opened last August and business was better than expected in the first few months.
Full House Resorts manages the casino for the tribe and owns 50 percent of GEM.
