The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma reported an upgrade in the credit rating for the Downstream Casino Resort.
Moody’s Investment Service upgraded the casino from negative to stable. A report cited a strong operating performance despite lower then anticipated revenues during the national recession.
“We have weathered the storm thanks to a smart and conservative development approach, a savvy and highly capable management team, hard-working staff, and the steady and much appreciated community support of our region,” John Berrey, the chairman of the tribe and chairman of the Downstream Casino Authority.
The resort is located in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. The gaming portion is located in Oklahoma.
