The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma celebrated the opening of the $300 million Choctaw
Casino and Resort on Tuesday.
The casino features 3,000 slot machines, 30 poker tables and 38 table games and 110,000 square-feet of gaming space. There's also a 330-room hotel, an indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center and a spa.
"Head starts, daycares, we built our own hospital, we built five clinics, all out of gaming so it’s very important to us that this goes well,” Choctaw Chief Greg Pyle told KXII-TV.
The facility is located in Durant, about 25 miles from the Texas border.
