Pinoleville Pomo Nation wins approval of gaming deal

The California Assembly voted 54-1 in favor of a Class III gaming compact with the Pinoleville Pomo Nation.

The tribe plans a casino with up to 900 slot machines. Groundbreaking is expected to take place this spring or in early summer. The compact requires the tribe to share 15 percent of annual net win revenues with the state.

The compact was already approved by the California Senate. It will go to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for final review.
