Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin is officially out of the Mississippi casino game.
The tribe invested $26 million on the Grand Soleil Casino Resort in Natchez. The casino never got off the ground and now the remnants of the property are up for auction next month.
The tribe sold $50 million in bonds to help finance the project. The tribe defaulted on the bonds in a dispute that led to a notable court ruling earlier this month.
