The Pennsylvania General Assembly approved a bill that authorizes table games at gaming facilities, a move that will benefit two Connecticut tribes.
The Mohegan Tribe operates a slot machine facility in the state. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is part of a group that plans to build a similar facility in Philadelphia.
The tribes would be able to offer blackjack, poker and roulette at the facilities once the bill is signed into law. The bill also gives the Pequot group more time to open a casino.
