Little Traverse Bay Bands casino manager resigns

Sean Barnard, the general manager for the casino owned by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians of Michigan, resigned on Monday.

Barnard wouldn't tell The Petoskey News-Review why he left his post at the Odawa Casino Resort, though he said he wanted to take some time off. "It's been a real pleasure and privilege working with the tribe, and I have only good memories," he told the paper.

The tribe has been trying to restructure about $122 million in casino-related debt. The tribe's credit rating was lowered after it missed a $6.3 million interest payment.
