Gun Lake Tribe begins work on $157M casino

The
Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians
, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, broke ground this morning on a $157 million casino in Michigan.
Construction of the 83,000 square-foot casino is expected to take 10 to 12 months. The facility will feature 1,200 slot machines, 36 table games, restaurants, a 2,000-car parking deck and other amenities.
The tribe expects to hire 600 people at the casino. Construction will generate 750 jobs.
