Non-Indian racetracks to fight Seminole gaming

Non-Indian racetracks in Florida are opposing a Class III gaming compact for the Seminole Tribe.

The tracks say the state gave up too much in the deal. They are concerned about provisions that give the tribe exclusive rights to slot machines and table games.

The compact calls for the tribe to share as much as $6.8 billion over 20 years. The Florida Legislature is expected to hold a special session next month to review the deal.
