The Seminole Tribe and Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) beat a deadline to sign a new Class III gaming compact on Monday.
The deal authorizes the tribe to offer slot machines and table games at all seven of its casinos. That differs from a proposal passed by the Florida Legislature that required the tribe to halt table games at certain facilities.
The tribe would share $150 million a year for the first 30 months. After that, the tribe would share 12 percent on the first $1 billion and up to 25 percent on $4 billion in gaming revenues.
The changes have at least one key lawmaker concerned. The deal will be taken up by lawmakers in a special session, expected in October.
