Fitch sees poor outlook for California gaming
A report from Fitch Ratings says California tribes won't emerge from the economic recession until the second half of 2010. Some tribes have seen double-digit drops in their gaming revenues. Fitch predicts continued declines for at least another year. “California's regional gaming markets have not been immune to the many negative factors affecting the industry during this economic recession,” the report said, according to The Palm Springs Desert Sun. Weaknesses in the real estate market, high rates of unemployment and diminished consumer spending were cited as factors affecting California's tribal gaming industry. Get the Story:
