Poll supports Mohegan casino in Massachusetts

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is seeing support for its proposed casino in Massachusetts.

Of residents in Palmer, 60 percent said they supported the casino, according to a poll conducted by the Center for Public Analysis at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Thirty percent said they opposed the project.

The tribe opened an office in Palmer to promote the casino. The tribe can only move forward if commercial gaming is legalized in Massachusetts.

Palmer is in western Massachusetts.
