Coquille Tribe buys liquor for casino from state

The Coquille Tribe buys the liquor for The Mill Casino-Hotel directly from the state of Oregon.

The tribal-state compact gives the tribe a substantial discount through the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Essentially, the tribe pays about half price for distilled spirits, which does not necessarily include beer and wine.

OLCC charges non-tribal entities 110 percent above cost.
