The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut dedicated a $67 million highway project that is designed to ease traffic around the Foxwoods Resort Casino.
The tribe paid for a bypass and widening of the road that leads to the casino. “This is an example of people coming together to create things that benefit us all," said Chairman Michael Thomas, The Norwich Bulletin reported.
Officials hope the project, which two years to complete, will make it easer for people to get to and from the casino or avoid it altogether.
