The National Indian Gaming Commission completed a technical assistance and training session in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this week
About 165 tribal gaming representatives from Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas took part, the NIGC said in a press release. Audit training focused on minimum internal control standards, accounting standards, gaming machines, table games and financial statements, while regulators training included Class II technical standards, game classification, use of gaming revenues, surveillance, and environment, public health and safety.
Future sessions are being held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from August 12-13 and in Ashland, Wisconsin, from September 8-10.
