The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is eyeing the Kansas gaming market again.
Last year, the tribe partnered with MGM Mirage and the Iowa Tribe to manage a state-owned casino in Sumner County. The group withdrew from the process after failing to agree with the Kansas Lottery over contract terms, The Wichita Eagle reported.
But the tribe's Foxwoods Development Co. still owns options to land in the county and might submit a bid for a casino. The applications are due tomorrow.
"We are considering it," Gary Armentrout, the company's managing director, told the paper "But we'll have to make a determination pretty quickly."
