Agua Caliente Band reports dip in casino earnings



The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California saw a 2.6 percent drop in earnings at one of its casinos.

The Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa cost $400 million. The hotel at the casino opened in April 2008 and a 2,000-seat performance venue opened in February.

The drop in revenues contributed to a downgrade in the tribe's bond rating. Fitch Ratings gave the tribe a BB+, down from BBB-.
