The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians will buy liquor for the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Hotel from two North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Control Commission stores.
Tribal members legalized liquor sales at the casino as a way to boost revenues. The two ABC stores, one in Jackson County and the other in Swain County, will benefit by sharing in the tribe's liquor purchases.
Liquor sales at the casino started late last month.
