The outgoing members of the Seneca Nation gaming board met for one last time on Thursday and fired an ally of President Barry Snyder Sr.
Cochise Redeye, the former chairman of the Seneca Gaming Corp. board, said Rajat Shah was fired from his $750,000-a-year job as general counsel. He also said the board took action to support gaming employees who are accused of regulatory violations.
Snyder had warned the outgoing board members not to make any big decisions in their final days. Redeye defended the legality of the meeting he called and said he welcomed an investigation into Snyder's allegations of corruption at the gaming corporation.
"I don’t have any problem with calling the FBI in and seeing what they have to say," Redeye told The Buffalo News.
Snyder was removed from the gaming board earlier this year. He responded by pushing the tribal council to remove most of the members of the board.
