Gila River Tribe wants young crowd at casino
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
The Gila River Indian Community is hoping to attract a younger crowd to its new $200 million casino. The Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino is set to open by October 31. The facility features a 242-room hotel, a 100,000-square-foot casino, a ballroom, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a business center, eight restaurants, five lounges and a nightclub. "We're trying to go after the younger, leisure travel demographic," marketing director Arlene Alleman told The East Valley Tribune. The tribe expects to employ about 800 people at the casino.
