The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is still looking to operate a state-owned casino in Kansas but has teamed up with another developer.
Foxwoods Development Co. and South Central Gaming Partners have joined forces, a Kansas Lottery official said. They will stick with the Foxwoods bid for the $225 million Chisholm Creek Casino Resort, according to the official.
One other company, Lakes Entertainment Inc., is in the running for the casino, to be located in Sumner County. The Lottery is also reviewing bids for another casino in Wyandotte County.
