A man who was convicted of stealing $70,000 from the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut plans to appeal.
Richard S. Taylor was found guilty of heating, conspiracy to commit cheating, first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. He paid dealers and supervisors at Foxwoods Resort Casino to help him win fraudulent bet on craps games. Some former employees have pleaded guilt in connection with the scam.
A jury convicted Taylor in May and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He faces another trial for allegedly stealing $11,500 from Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe.
