The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York named Patrick Bassney as general manager of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.
The tribe said it lost millions of dollars in gaming revenue due to the 42-day closure of the Seaway International Bridge. Bassney hopes to recapture the business.
"We're ready to take this gaming property to the next level and I will be working with the staff to identify ways to improve our operations at all levels," said Bassney, The Cornwall Standard-Freeholder reported.
