The Bureau of Indian Affairs will host two public hearings and two public workshops to discuss the casino proposed by the Guidiville Band of Pomo Indians of California.
The tribe wants to build a resort at Point Molate, on the Richmond waterfront. Plans call for a casino with 124,000 square feet of gaming, two hotels, shops, restaurants, a conference center, housing, tribal facilities, parks and trails on 85 acres.
The draft environmental impact statement and environmental impact report for the Point Molate Mixed-Use Tribal Destination Resort and Casino is open for public comments until September 23.
