Nottawaseppi Huron Band set for casino debut

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians is moving closer to the opening of the tribe's casino in Michigan. An exact date hasn't been specified but the FireKeepers Casino is expected to open in early August. The $300 million is located off a major highway near Battle Creek. "We're just happy we're opening," Chairwoman Laura Spurr told The Detroit News. The casino created 1,500 full- and part-time jobs. Get the Story:
