Poarch Creeks promote new casino with blimp
Tuesday, June 23, 2009
The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is hoping to attract more customers with a new promotional tool. The Alabama tribe launched a 178-foot blimp to promote the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel across the region. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to let the southeast to let people know who we are and where we’re located,” said Buford Rolin, The Brewton Standard reported. “Just think, this blimp is flying around the southeast and showing off the Wind Creek emblem and logo letting people know that Atmore, Alabama is around and that’s the home of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.” The tribe opened the Class II facility in January and is already expanding.
