Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported their best month in slot machine revenues since August 2008.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation took in $62.3 million at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods. That was 14.2 percent less than May 2008 but still represented the tribe's best month since last August.
The Mohegan Tribe took in $69.9 million at Mohegan Sun. That's 7 percent less than May 2008 but again it was the tribe's best month since last August.
"It's going to take time for people to get comfortable before they start spending the way they used to,” said Mohegan Sun CEO Mitchell Etess, The New London Day reported.
