The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation will be adding a golf course to its casino in Kansas.
The tribe is working Navajo/Pueblo golfer Notah Begay III on the project. The 18-hold Firekeeper Golf Course is the first designed by the four-time PGA Tour winner.
“With all the work that got us to this point and knowing of the tremendous possibilities for the future, I couldn’t be prouder,” said Chairman Steve Ortiz in a press release.. "It truly makes this a unique entertainment destination and is certain to become the jewel of the Midwest.”
The Prairie Band Casino and Resort will be the only gaming facility in Kansas with a golf course when the project is finished in late summer 2010.
