Colville Tribes begin work on larger casino structure

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation in Washington began work on a larger, temporary casino last week. The $7.4 million, 36,000 square-foot structure replaces the Mill Bay Casino. The tribe will hire another 50 employees, bringing the total workforce to about 200 people. "This'll be much nicer than the current facility. It's an exciting little venture for us," Michelle Campobasso, a spokesperson for the Colville Tribal Enterprise Corp., told The Wenatchee World. The new facility is expected to open in December. The tribe hasn't decided where a permanent casino will be located or what to do with the property where the existing casino sits. Get the Story:
