The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians was finally able to distribute the first of $6.2 million in gaming revenues to local communities in Michigan.
The tribe was holding onto the money from the Four Winds Casino because the local revenue-sharing board couldn't decide how to share the money. The dispute was resolved last month.
"It's really a proud day for the Pokagon Band," Chairman John Miller told The South Bend Tribune.
The tribe shares 2 percent of net slot machine revenues with local communities.
