The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut won endorsement for its proposed commercial casino in Sumner County, Kansas.
Foxwoods Development plans a $225 million casino. The project doesn't include a hotel but commissioners expect the tribe to build one in the future.
Lakes Entertainment, which has worked with tribes, also won endorsement for its proposal.
