The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is expanding alcohol service training programs after casino patrons were involved in two fatal accidents.
Employees of the table gaming department at Mohegan Sun are now receiving the same training as alcohol servers and valets. Customers will be limited to two drinks, instead of three, and venues within the facility will continue to share information about patrons.
“We have had extensive programs in place here revolving around responsible alcohol service since we opened,” Mitchell Etess, the casino's president and chief executive officer, told The Norwich Bulletin. “In light of the two recent accidents, we expanded our efforts in that regard.”
