The House Select Committee on Seminole Indian Compact Review took up a bill to authorize a Class III gaming compact for the Seminole Tribe today.
The bill allows slot machines at the tribe's casinos. Card and table games are not included.
In exchange, the tribe would share revenues with the state. The amount is estimated to be $100 million a year.
A rival bill in the state Senate allows the tribe slots, card games and table games. Supporters there predict $400 million a year in revenues though some have questioned the figure.
