Gila River Tribe to open new casino in November

The Gila River Indian Community of Arizona plans to open a new casino on November 1. The $200 million Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino replaces an older, nearby facility. It boasts more slot machines and table games and will feature a 10-story, 242-room hotel that will cater to high rollers. "My ultimate goal is to have 100 percent of the rooms 'comped' to players," general manager John Straus told The Arizona Republic. "It's all about giving back to our VIPs." The tribe opened another facility last November amid a drop in revenues at Arizona's tribal casinos. Get the Story:
