A poll commissioned by the Tohono O'odham Nation in Arizona shows wide support for its proposed off-reservation casino.
According to the poll, 73 percent of residents in Maricopa County support the project. Most said they were familiar with the project and believed it would help the community.
The tribe wants to build the casino on 134 acres in Glendale. The land was acquired with funds that were authorized by an act of Congress.
Officials in Glendale, who have raised concerns about the casino, questioned the poll results.
