The leader of the Seneca Nation
of New York no longer wants to serve on the board for the tribe's gaming corporation.
President Barry E. Snyder Sr. was removed as chairman of the Seneca Gaming
Corp. board last week. His replacement said he should leave altogether for failing to cooperate with an audit and for trying to usurp the corporation's authority.
Snyder has faced questions after being linked to a tribal land deal that is reportedly under federal investigation. The audit showed that Snyder's former vice chairman on the board received a cut of the purchase price.
