The
Shingle Springs
Band of Miwok Indians opened the
Red Hawk Casino to record crowds in December and officials in Nevada say the new facility is to blame for a whopping 23.7 percent decline in their gaming revenues.
The tribal casino is located along a major highway in northern California. That's only about an hour away from the casinos in Stateline, Nevada, where business fell dramatically last month.
Overall, Nevada has seen a drop in gaming revenues for 13 months in a row.
