The Alturas Rancheria of California says rumors about a casino opening are untrue.
The tribe plans to open a casino in Yreka. But after breaking ground on the project, only a smoke shop has opened at the site.
A local chapter of Gamblers Anonymous has formed anyway in anticipation of the casino.
