A majority of Florida voters support a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe, according to a new poll.
Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,000 voters and found that 63 percent want state lawmakers to approve a deal that includes slot machines and table games. Republicans have balked at a compact with table games.
The poll also found that 59 percent of voters support expanded gaming in the state in order to fund education programs and avoid more budget cuts.
