Shoshone-Bannock Tribes re-evaluate casino plans

The sour economy has prompted the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho to re-evaluate its gaming plans. The tribe is committed to building a large resort off a major interstate, a casino executive said. But the economy has prompted tribal leaders to take a closer look at the project. "Given the current economic situation, re-evaluating means that they're talking with the architects, the general contractors, financers, casino operations," marketing director Liberty Toldeo told Local News 8. "Just to see what other strategies may be used." The tribe is almost finished with a smaller project, the Sage Hill Travel Center and Casino. It's due to open in March. Get the Story:
