The commercial casino that is majority owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa
Indians of Michigan won approval for $46 million in loans.
Approval came from a federal bankruptcy judge who is overseeing the restructuring of the Greektown Casino in Detroit. The Michigan Gaming Control Board still needs to weigh in.
Greektown will use the money to finish up construction of a 400-room hotel that is expected to open next week.
