The Seneca Nation announced plans for an off-reservation casino in the Catskills region of New York.
The tribe is working with Rotate Black Gaming Inc., a Michigan firm, to develop the casino. It would be located on 63 acres in the near Monticello, about 90 miles north of New York City.
Several tribes have sought casinos in the Catskills. The Bush administration rejected the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe in early 2008.
The Seneca Nation operates off-reservation casinos in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The Buffalo facility is the subject of litigation.
