The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians of Oregon laid off 51 employees of its casino. The layoffs represent 6 percent of the workforce at the Seven Feathers Hotel Casino and Resort. “As we all know, casinos are no longer recession-proof,” a spokesperson told The Roseburg News-Review.
