Poll shows Maryland voters support slot machines

A new Washington Post poll shows 62 percent of voters in Maryland support a ballot measure to legalize slot machines.

Question 2 authorizes as many as 15,000 machines at five locations. Supporters say revenue would generate $600 million for state education programs.

Maryland has no federally recognized tribes. Some have sought recognition through a state process that they say is too difficult to complete.
