Mashantucket Tribe offers voluntary layoffs

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is asking employees to volunteer to be laid off.

The tribe plans to lay off 700 employees at Foxwoods Resort Casino and the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Employees who volunteer to leave will receive the same severance package as those who are being laid off.

Some employees won't be eligible for the buyout. Employees will find out whether they are losing their jobs next week.
