"If there is one politician in the country that should be credited with the rapid growth of the casino industry in the United States, it is California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is signing Indian tribe casino compacts on what seems like an every month basis.

Whether Schwarzenegger is signing the compacts because he is heavily in favor of casino gambling, or whether he is doing it because he knows the money he can bring to his state, it does not matter.

The fact is that California has increased their casino options in the state drastically on Schwarzenegger's watch and that has had a domino effect in the rest of the country. many other states have followed his lead and are now creating more money for their state."
