Connecticut tribes report slot machine revenues

August 2008 was another less than stellar month for the tribal gaming facilities in Connecticut.

Players put more money into slot machines operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe. But only Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Pequots, made more money, compared to August 2007.

Both tribes have seen a decline in slot revenues. Executives say the economy and high gas prices are to blame.
