Moody's cites economic hit to tribal casinos

Most tribal casinos will weather the downturn in the economy although some are feeling the pinch, according to Moody's Investors Service.

Four of the 19 gaming operations that are rated by Moody's have been downgraded since the beginning of the year. “But many operators possess sound financial profiles that should see them through," the report said, according to The New London Day.

Two Connecticut tribes have seen a dramatic drop in their slot machine profits despite operating the largest casinos in the nation. The latest figures are being reported tomorrow.
